Prior to moving to Hawke’s Bay, Aliyh worked as a general practitioner in Auckland for more than 14 years.  She looks forward to offering a broad expertise in medicine with a special interest in women’s health including mirena insertion.  Aliyh is also able to provide minor surgery.

Dr Emily Lake

Born and raised in the UK Emily undertook her medical training at Nottingham Medical School and then spent the majority of her postgraduate training years in the South West of England. A qualified GP for over a decade, Emily has spent the majority of time as a GP Partner in Bristol.  Emily loves the variety that comes with a job in General Practice and enjoys looking after the ‘whole’ person and their family, with a special interests in Sexual Health and Menopause, and fits contraceptive implants and coils.
Emily made the move to Hawkes Bay with her family at the end of 2022.  They were keen to bring their family out to experience a different life, in a different country and are all very happy with life in New Zealand, immersing themselves in the Hawkes Bay lifestyle and all that it has to offer.
When not at work, Emily loves spending time outdoors with her husband and children at the beach or on their bikes.

Dr Kerry Pearson

Kerry recently moved to Hawkes Bay with her family and is looking forward to getting settled working here at Hastings Health Centre. Kerry is originally from Scotland and has completed her training in the U.K. before moving to Timaru 7 years ago. Kerry has moved to Hawkes Bay with her husband and 3 daughters. The thing she loves most about general practice is getting to know you and your whanau, and to work with you to try and achieve the best health outcomes for you and your family. Kerry also has a special interest in women’s health and menopause.

Dr. Holly Drexler

Holly completed her medical training at The University of Buffalo School of Medicine, Buffalo, NY, USA followed by a residency in family practice at The Williamsport Family Medical Residency Program, PA, USA.  She arrived in New Zealand as a short-term locum in 2003, returned in 2006 and has been practicing as a GP in Hawkes Bay ever since. Holly enjoys working with whole families and is interested in preventive medicine. When not working she is enjoying the outdoors and kept busy with her family.
