Increase in General Practice Patient Fees from 8 July 2024

Unfortunately, Hastings and Havelock North Health Centres have had to increase patient fees as of 8 July 2024.

Costs for General Practice services continue to rise, and unfortunately Government and ACC funding has not kept pace.

This has meant that Hastings and Havelock North Health Centres are forced to increase patient fees to ensure our Practices can continue to provide essential services for the community.

If you have any problems paying the new fees, please speak to one of the team in your suite regarding options. Your health is important to us, and you should not avoid seeking medical help when needed.

Your understanding of this no-win situation we have found ourselves in would be much appreciated. This is not the fault of any of the Hastings or Havelock North Health Centre Team, in fact, we all wish our fees could be lower and fairer for you.

Hastings and Havelock North Health Centres will continue to lobby for more funding from the Government to enable affordable Primary Health care for the Hawke’s Bay Community.
